DeleteSorry to post twice I didnt see the notify me and am new to this site. My 13.5 year old shitzo pom is starting to sow signs of kidney, liver, and heart disease in the last few weeks. It seems to be up and down as they do blood work. They are trying to get him on a kibble renal diet. He has always eaten kibble but I am not a fan the more I learn and would rather cook for him. Any suggestions of something that will be renal supporting? They are also wanting to put him back on an antacid because he does throw up bile sometimes. They think he has acid reflux I'm not convinced.

DeleteDo you have any advice for dogs with Cushing's? I have tried various homeopathic and herbal remedies and none have worked. I hesitated to put him on conventional Cushing's medication because they are so toxic. However, my vet said Vetoryl (Trilostane) has had good results with fewer side effects. He was put on 60 mg once per day with food and after just two doses he began having severe side effects. I stopped it immediately. This dog is a deaf senior English Springer Spaniel rescue (12-13 years old) who had a very difficult life before we got him. Ijust want to help the poor guy feel better and I refuse to give up.

DeleteHello - do you have any advice for persistent hookworms. This is an x racing rescue greyhound. She has come a long way with good diet and diatomaceous earth but still testing positive for hooks. 55 lb dog has been on 2 tsp of DE a day since December. Have also been using slippery elm.
